Nowadays, the industrial sector has high expectations for the quantum technology. The government has also formulated and published the Quantum Technology Innovation Strategy in 2020, the Quantum Future Society Vision in 2022, and the Quantum Future Industry Creation Strategy in 2023, laying out a direction to strongly promote the social implementation of quantum technology. In this context, our research group has been promoting basic research on measurement devices that apply quantum entangled light since 2018 with the support of MEXT - Quantum Leap Flagship Program (Q-LEAP). Through the activities of this Q-LEAP, several novel photonic quantum sensing technologies are beginning to sprout, including quantum infrared spectroscopy, which enables infrared spectroscopy with visible light detectors. In order to nurture these sprouts into large trees and implement them in society, we believe that it is essential to create a mechanism for mutual exchange and cooperation with various industrial sectors that are interested in the elemental technologies, system development, and new applications of photonic quantum sensing. With the understanding and cooperation of those in the industry who agreed with this purpose, as well as our advisors and related departments of the university, the Photonic Quantum Sensing Social Implementation Consortium was launched on September 1, 2023. Through this consortium, we will share our research results and cooperate among members to create new value chains and applications, thereby providing new values. We would like to ask for your continued understanding and cooperation.
